About ShihHan Tseng
When I focus on creating beautiful things, the present, time is art.
Over the past year or so, many things have happened, whether it is a virus on earth or the unexpected death of a family member, making me wonder how to balance my heart with this time and space.
Through painting and meditation, I can be alone with myself.
During this period, I feel a change in consciousness, I can no longer hold on to my memories as I used to, but to be with myself in a definite, simple and relaxed way.
In this state, time is like a melodious music that magically makes us confirm our coordinates in the universe.

1. What is your artform and/or vision?
In my painting works, I mainly use Chinese painting techniques and pigments, this goes back to my time in college and graduate school, where I majored in Chinese painting in the Department of Art. The pigments I use are various color powders, which need to be mixed with animal glue to make a painting pigment that can be attached to paper. For example, natural mineral pigment, glass dyeing pigment, calcium carbonate color mixing pigment, mica powder, calcite powder, etc. Gold or silver foil is also used. Some people call it rock painting.
I enjoy semi-automatic drawing in paintings process, and most of my artworks are not pre-drafted, directly drawing on the long fiber paper with layers of color. It appeared some images on stacking of color, then I image it as a vision beyond the real world and visualized it. Through the painting process, it seems that I cross various emotions and back to the center of heart.
Recently, I start drawing for daily KIN with colored pencils, since I finished the full Mayan Calendar course in Taiwan 2021. It starts from Kin 105. You can view these drawings on my Facebook and Instagram.
2. Who are your main artistic inspirations/influences?
Hieronymus Bosch (1452-1516), Dutch Artist, most of his paintings depict sin and the degradation of human morality.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), Italian.
